The Queen today (6th February 2012) began the celebrations for her 60 years since her accession to the throne. The BBC news today included footage of her at King's Lynn's Trinity Guildhall, a building that saw the reign of Elizabeth I. The Queen reaffirmed her service to the nation.

British Pathe has News Reel of her accession in 1952 in its archive. This includes the ceremonial held at King's Lynn's Trinity Guildhall.

Run it full screen and the text will probably become legible.

British Pathe also has News Reel of her parents in the fens during the Second World War.
